Lesson 1 of 10
Quantum Foundations IV · Relational Coupling and Dynamical Sector Structure
Separate Relational Sectors
A relational sector is a mathematically identifiable substructure of the relevant relational state structure — not a region of ordinary physical space.
Suppose the reconstructed state structure contains distinct relational sectors. QM4 asks what follows dynamically.
At this stage, nothing moves from one sector to another.
Whether PDT necessarily reconstructs multiple relational sectors remains unresolved. Multiple sectors are supposed here as a conditional starting structure.
Total Relational State Space
IllustrationSelect a sector, or the surrounding space.
ℋ = V1 ⊕ V2
The total state structure is represented here as two identifiable sectors.
Mathematical Status
Assumed, not derived
Suppose the reconstructed state structure contains distinct relational sectors. QM4 asks what follows dynamically. QM4 does not establish that PDT necessarily contains multiple relational sectors.
Follows only if the QM3 sector assumptions are supplied
If identifiable invariant sectors exist, their transport can be analysed separately.
Still open
Whether PDT necessarily reconstructs multiple relational sectors remains unresolved.
What this means
Two sectors can exist within one overall system while remaining dynamically separate.
Having more than one sector does not by itself create interaction between them.
Multiple sectors are not the same as coupled sectors.
